With Valentine’s Day quickly approaching, let’s create this adorable paper bag dog Valentine craft. This simple craft is perfect for the holiday.

Paper Bag Dog Valentine Craft
Paper bag crafts are so much fun for preschoolers, because they can also double as toys. Kids can express their creativity making the craft, and then they can play with the puppet they’ve made.
What You’ll Need
- Valentine Dog Template (scroll to the bottom of the post to download)
- Brown paper lunch bags
- Cardstock – black, red
- Black marker
- Googly eyes, small
- 1.5” circle paper punch
- Scissors
- Glue stick
How to Make a Paper Bag Puppy
First, cut a paper lunch bag roughly in half. Cut it to make the bag shorter.

Then, print the Valentine dog template. Trace the ears and tail piece on black cardstock. Cut out.

Glue the ears in place on the front flap of the paper bag.
Glue the tail on the back.
Now, adhere googly eyes.

Also, draw a nose and mouth with the black marker. The mouth should be drawn off the edge of the flap.

Next, cut the heart out of red cardstock.
Glue one side of the heart in the mouth of the dog, starting under the flap.

Finally, punch circles from the cut piece of paper bag for paws.
Draw lines on two of the circles with a black marker.
And glue the paws in place on the bottom of the bag. Fido is now ready to wish you a paws-itively Happy Valentine’s Day!
