Dr. Seuss’s One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish is a great book for facilitating discussions about fish, counting, colors, opposites, rhyming words, and so much more.
I love when one picture book presents so many learning opportunities. One Fish Two Fish does just that! And, since it’s by Dr. Seuss, it’s just plain fun to read.
One Fish Two Fish Printables and Activities
As I mentioned above, there are many different topics in One Fish Two Fish that you can explore with your preschoolers.
The most prominent concept in most of Dr. Seuss’s books is the rhyme. Call out a word, and see if your little one can make a rhyme. Count the humps on the Wump. Find opposites throughout the book – sad/glad, old/new, etc. Of course, there are different colored fish, as well. The possibilities are endless.
